I’m Angelina – a Certified NLP Practitioner studying towards ICF coaching and mindfulness credentials. I’m also a senior leader and business consultant with more than 20 years experience in high-pressure corporate and entrepreneurial environments. My coaching approach combines fundamentals from business strategy and evidence-based methods based on neuroscience, pyschology, and mindfulness. I developed a transformational self-leadership framework to help mid-life high achievers get clear about why they are stuggling – and how to give themselves clarity and relief.

Three years ago, I experienced a full system meltdown. The things that worked for years didn’t work anymore – and the harder I tried, the worse I felt. I was exhausted and barely functioning – but pushed harder and harder and hid how much I was struggling.

It was disorienting and scary – and I felt very alone. Since then, I’ve realized how many ambitious, high-achieving mid life professionals are not okay – despite how great things look on the outside. And I got super curious about why.

If your days start with anxiety or exhaustion and end with wired-tired scrolling – yeah, that tracks.  If you’ve tried self-help books, leadership programs, and countless wellness apps with no relief – I get it. Me too! I even spent THOUSANDS of dollars on an Executive coaching program that made me feel worse when I couldn’t get the results that other people were getting.

Trust me when I say – there’s a good reason why so many of us are in the prime of our lives – and, instead of riding high like we thought we’d be – are on the struggle bus. The reason is rooted in biology and neuroscience and has nothing to do with a lack of motivation, willpower, or discipline.

It’s the natural result of being in systems and environments that are focused on high performance and extracting as much as they can from us – harvesting our energy, attention, knowledge, and time.

If you are a knowledge worker with high standards, you are at risk of exploitation and burnout. You’re not broken, you’re depleted – and it makes sense. Humans are not designed to operate in constant overdrive and yet, that is what modern life rewards us for doing.

I’m not here to tell you that you need to walk away from the career or the life you have built.  What I do offer is evidence-based support that honors your real life, your nervous system, and the season you’re in – so you can understand why you feel stuck – and learn how to shed the patterns and conditioning that are are keeping you there.

The 4A Anchor Process

The 4A Anchor Process is a simple, science-informed framework that helps high achievers step out of survival mode and create a life they don’t want to escape from.

The 4A Anchor Process was inspired by what works for the organizations I advise on strategy and organizational effectiveness.

First, step back and assess current state (AWARENESS).

Then, reflect on what you want to accomplish and how you want to show up (AUTHENTICITY).

Figure out what it will take to become the person who achieves that and get properly resourced (ACCEPTANCE).

And finally – take intentional action, reflect, learn, adjust, and take the next right step in the direction you want to go (AGENCY).

What organizations don’t do well, even in the best leadership development programs, is support change with nervous-system supportive practices and intentional, ongoing reflection about what is working and what isn’t. The limitation of these programs is in their bias – which is to help you PERFORM better and DO more – not to help you become a whole, healthy human. And, P.S. – they want results FAST – ignoring the fact that lasting change and great work take time, patience, and support.

It’s time to normalize identity shifts in midlife and broaden how we think about leadership so we define it ON OUR TERMS – flipping the script to lead ourselves first.
